Ebonie Michelle, MPH, is Founder & CEO of Prowl The LAB, a pioneering organization dedicated to transforming women’s health and well-being, particularly through the lens of sexuality, trauma, and empowerment. With a deep-rooted commitment to serving underserved communities, Ebonie Michelle brings over two decades of expertise in health education, behavioral health, and strategic public health initiatives.
A native of Atlanta, GA, Ebonie Michelle was raised by parents, Charles and Carol Bonner-Lewis who emphasized integrity, community service, and perseverance. Her mother was a groundbreaking figure who raised millions in support of scholarships, educational programs, and initiatives across 15 Historically Black Colleges and University (HBCUs) institutions. Inspired by her mother’s legacy and early influences, Ebonie Michelle pursued a robust educational path, earning a B.A. in Marketing Management from Hampton University and later an MPH in Behavioral Health and Education from the esteemed Institute of Public Health at Florida A&M University. These institutions, she asserts, were instrumental in shaping her career and values, preparing her to become a resilient leader and advocate for change.
Ebonie Michelle's professional journey spans breast cancer prevention, youth violence prevention, and human resources training and development for prominent organizations, including a leading government agency in Chicago, IL. Her diverse experience has equipped her with unique insights into public health strategies, professional development, and community engagement. Through her work, she has become a recognized Subject Matter Expert on the intersections of health, sexuality, and wellness, particularly for women navigating life’s complex challenges.
As the visionary behind Prowl The LAB, Ebonie Michelle has developed a comprehensive approach that empowers women and couples to embrace self-love, reclaim their sexuality, and foster positive relationships, particularly in the face of health challenges. Under her leadership, Prowl The LAB is redefining women’s health by addressing often-overlooked dimensions of wellness, encouraging holistic healing, and creating inclusive spaces for growth and connection.
Her family—her husband and two children—remain her greatest sources of pride and motivation. Driven by a personal and professional mission to improve lives, Ebonie Michelle continues to build a legacy of impact, resilience, and empowerment for the next generation.
